주제 : Atomic Force Microscopy, Microfluidics, and Industrial Physics

Soft-condensed matter, commonly referred to as soft matter, is a class of materials including fluids, colloids, polymers, liquid crystals and biological substances. While such materials are seen and experienced in our everyday lives, there remains much unknown about their physics. In this talk, I introduce three kinds of soft matter systems, capillary bridges, microdroplets and colloids, and show associated physical principles of liquid-solid friction and cluster formation at ambient conditions. In addition, I present how such soft matter is deeply involved in semiconductor manufacturing and related industry, including filter technology and slurry characterizations
