󰏟주제 : CERN and Heavy-ion Physics


(Quarkonia Suppression)

 


󰏟발 표 요 약 :

There are various physics programs in CERN, which is known well as the laboratory to discover Higgs bosons. One of them is the heavy ion collision experiment to investigate Quark-Gluon-Plasma state of nuclear matter. According to Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), it is possible to create new matter state, which is extremely hot and dense nuclear matter, if high energy heavy ion collision experiment is performed. In this state, it is expected that the quarks and gluons will be acting freely in very short time. Through this presentation, I would like to introduce CERN and heavy ion experiments.
